Why I Do What I Do:

“I have been so blessed with a good education, and it is time for me to help others receive the same opportunity.”

Alma Mater(s): Indiana University & Baruch College, CUNY

Your role in one sentence: I’m responsible for general accounting, payroll, and making sure that all numbers are accurate.

When I am not at work helping students get to and succeed in college I am…working out in the gym, paying tennis, or watching movies.

If not higher education then what cause? Supporting children in the world so they can have better life

Formal Bio:

Since childhood, Helen was encouraged by her parents to pursue higher education. With their support, she gained Bachelor’s degree in Yonsei University, located in Seoul Korea.

After years of working in South Korea, she decided to study accounting to become a professional in this area. She got a Master’s degree in Accountancy from Baruch College, CUNY, located in New York, and passed all CPA exams upon graduation. She has been working as a professional accountant since then, and now is excited about being part of Campaign of College Opportunity team.

Other than her professional work, she volunteers filing tax returns to help low-income families every year and sponsors a couple of kids in Africa.
