Your role in one sentence: Analyze, interpret, and prepare higher education research in the context of California policy.
When I am not at work helping students get to and succeed in college I am…working to support refugee families in Orange County, CA.
If not higher education then what cause? International human rights and immigration.
My name is Norbert Negrea, currently the Research and Policy Analyst for the Campaign for College Opportunity at the Los Angeles office. I hold an M.A. in the Social Sciences with a focus on Demographic and Social Analysis. For the last five years, I have studied social inequalities specifically in immigrant, refugee, and impacted communities in respect to their access to education and social services. My research has also framed social inequalities through a policy lens, offering recommendations to assist in the solutions to these social inequalities. I am also a proud first generation college student, and son of refugees from Eastern Europe.
