Why I Do What I Do:

“College was my first major dream that came true and it has improved my way of life significantly. I want this opportunity for everyone that wants it because we all deserve a chance to succeed.”

Alma Mater(s): Whittier College. Go Poets!

Your role in one sentence: Finding creative ways to share our message far and wide.

When I am not at work helping students get to and succeed in college I am…running, reading, Netflix binge watching, or planning my next travel adventure.

If not higher education then what cause? Protecting our environment and human rights.

Formal Bio:

Olga Jimenez was raised in Buena Park, CA in a single parent household. She grew up understanding the difficulties facing low-income families and their belief in the success that a degree could bring. It was this same belief that motivated her to pursue a college education at a small liberal arts school in Whittier, California.

While in college, she interned at the Office of Congresswoman Grace F. Napolitano and discovered her passion for social issues. Having worked in the education field for a number of years now and seeing first-hand the challenges that face California, she strongly shares the Campaign’s mission to support student access and success in higher education.

Ms. Jimenez attended Whittier College, attaining a degree in Political Science with a double minor in Sociology and English.
