Annaly Medrano

Student at San Bernardino Valley College

Throughout Annaly’s entire higher education career, she had to devote a majority of her time to working part-time. She experienced many difficulties applying for financial aid and did not feel she was adequately supplied sufficient information on the financial aid process and how to gathering tax information from her parents. This hindered her ability to allocate sufficient school time needed to transfer in a timely manner.  Her experience opened her eyes to the many obstacles students face trying to pursue their post-secondary dreams. She holds a firm belief  that  we need to simplify the federal financial aid process to help the millions of students who want a post-secondary education.
