Why I Do What I Do:

Higher Education is a path towards financial stability that should be an option for everyone regardless of income level.

When I am not at work helping students get to and succeed in college I am… going out with friends or playing Magic the Gathering at a card store.

Formal Bio:
After immigrating to the U.S. from a young age, Edwin was raised in South Central Los Angeles by a single mother – a single mother who worked tirelessly to make sure that he could graduate from high school and pursue higher education.

Edwin graduated from the California State University, Los Angeles with a Bachelor’s degree. Graduating shortly after the start of the pandemic, Edwin was fortunate to work for the Housing Rights Center where we helped to distribute $300 million for rent assistance.
