Join the Alliance for Candidate Engagement in Education for the 2026 Lieutenant Governor Candidate Forum, bringing together students, education advocates, and community leaders for a critical conversation about the future of education in California.

California’s next Lieutenant Governor will help shape decisions that impact millions of students across our state colleges and universities. This is your opportunity to hear directly from candidates about what they will do to improve college affordability, strengthen student success, and expand opportunity across the state.

At a time when California must ensure access leads to completion and economic mobility, this forum will focus on the policies that move us forward.

We are honored to have opening remarks delivered by Dr. Berenecea Johnson Eanes, President of CSU Los Angeles, and Mike Bonin, Executive Director of the Pat Brown Institute for Public Affairs.

The Alliance for Candidate Engagement in Education is a group of nonpartisan organizations including the Campaign for College Opportunity, EdTrust-West, Californians Together, Children Now, Early Edge California, Public Advocates, and Young Invincibles.
