The Student Leadership Institute (SLI) at the Campaign for College Opportunity is a transformative 9-month program dedicated to leadership development, policy advocacy, and professional growth. Running from November 2024 to June 2025, SLI will bring together a cohort of 20 passionate college students from across California, providing them with the skills and tools needed to become effective advocates for higher education policy and to lead initiatives that impact student experiences.
The Student Leadership Institute is a paid opportunity that offers leadership and skills-building training to empower participants to engage in the higher education policy process, network with professionals, and advocate on critical higher education issues that directly impact them. Through training and advocacy sessions, student leaders are equipped with information and tools to be agents of social change within their own college campus. Student Leaders will also have the opportunity to participate in virtual advocacy events and speak in front of system-wide governing Board and local community college Board meetings.
Applications for the 2024-25 cohort are now closed.
