Redesigning College Preparation and Admissions for Equity Webinar
10:00am
K-12, higher education, and policy leaders have a significant role in reducing barriers to college so that more Latinx, Black, underrepresented Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (NHPI), and American Indian/Alaska Native (AIAN) students are uplifted to achieve the American dream.
As part of our Affirming Equity, Ensuring Inclusion, Empowering Action initiative and brief series, we invite you to join us on October 19 at 10:00am as higher education scholars and experts highlight strategies that, when thoughtfully designed and implemented, promote equal opportunity to college: dual enrollment, which allows students to enroll in college-level courses during high school, and direct admissions, which automatically admits high school students to colleges based on readily available student information.
Featured speakers include:
- John Fink, author of GREATER EQUITY IN COLLEGE ACCESS THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL/COLLEGE DUAL ENROLLMENT PROGRAMS
- Taylor Odle, Ph.D., author of DIRECT ADMISSIONS: REIMAGINING COLLEGE APPLICATIONS TO PROMOTE EQUITY
- Audrey Dow, Senior Vice President for The Campaign for College Opportunity, moderator
