Press Statement: On Governor Brown’s 2014-15 Budget Proposal

Governor Brown has once again introduced a budget that includes significant increases for California’s public colleges and universities, proposing $1.1 billion over last year’s budget.

The Governor, however, is quite clear that new monies will come with expectations. Expectations that colleges and universities remain affordable, improve transfer, and reduce the time it takes to earn a degree or certificate.
