NOVEMBER 8, 2016 CALIFORNIA GENERAL ELECTION BALLOT
The Campaign for College Opportunity supports three Propositions on the November 8, 2016 California General Election Ballot that work to improve college and career readiness for all students while providing much needed resources to California’s Community Colleges to better serve students.
The Campaign for College Opportunity supports Proposition 51, the Kindergarten Through Community College Public Education Facilities Bond Act of 2016, which would authorize two billion in general obligation bonds for California Community Colleges facilities. Today, nearly $500 million in high priority community college projects are awaiting state funding support. California’s Community Colleges serve nearly two million students each year and new facility infrastructure and building modernization is crucial to adequately serving our students and ensuring they earn a college education.
