“Prior to embarking on my higher education journey, I perceived my future as predetermined and limited. Today, I strive to demonstrate to others that our future and its possibilities are constrained only by our imagination.”

Chloe is currently pursuing a master’s degree in library and information science at San José State University, with academic degrees in English and Literature from Southwestern College and Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley. Her scholarly work, including a co-authored publication in AI & Society and a thesis critically examining the rhetoric surrounding homelessness, reflects her commitment to understanding how language shapes social attitudes and public policy, particularly for vulnerable individuals. Professionally, Chloe’s recent experience with Alameda Superior Court Pretrial Services demonstrates her dedication to serving marginalized communities by assisting clients with court processes and utilizing governmental information systems to support fair judicial decisions. Her academic and practical pursuits converge in her aspiration to become an information architect focused on creating accessible, ethical information systems. Additionally, Chloe enjoys birding and creating stories while sitting amongst trees.
