Dr. Dilcie Perez leads the Division of Strategic Enrollment Management and Student Success, providing executive leadership over the areas of student success and inclusive excellence; student affairs, equity and belonging; institutional research and analyses; strategic enrollment management and international education.
Perez joined the Chancellor’s Office in June 2022 as associate vice chancellor for Student Affairs, Equity and Belonging, and in 2023 was appointed deputy vice chancellor and chief student affairs officer. In 2025, following an assessment that realigned Academic and Student Affairs into two divisions, Perez continued as deputy vice chancellor of the newly created Division of Strategic Enrollment Management and Student Success.
Perez has more than 23 years of experience across multiple facets of student affairs. She formerly served as vice president and assistant superintendent of Student Services for the Cerritos Community College District; as dean of student life and judicial affairs at the MiraCosta Community College District; and for 13 years in several leadership positions at her alma mater, Cal State San Marcos.
Perez holds an Ed.D. in educational leadership from San Diego State University, a master’s degree in administration from Central Michigan University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Cal State San Marcos
