Yazmin Cervantes
Yazmin Cervantes is a Human Services major at California State University, Fullerton, graduating in spring 2027.
Originally from Orange and now living in Anaheim, Yazmin is a Mexican American, first-generation college student who balances family responsibilities with a full-time course load. For her, college has been a place to be herself and connect with others, and she has stepped into leadership across campus and beyond. She serves as President of the Human Services Student Association and Academic Chair of M.A.S Familia de CSUF, and she has been selected as both a Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) Fellow and a NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program (NUFP) Fellow. One of her proudest moments was studying abroad in Argentina with her department, which deepened her cultural competency. Yazmin wants policymakers to know that solutions cannot be one-size-fits-all and that decisions must be made with intention. She believes every California student deserves equal access to higher education.
